Scouting Report from 2007 Pro
Basketball Combine |
| Category |
Comments |
| Physical &
Mental |
Has an excellent body that he needs to
use more to his advantage in the paint. |
| Ball Skills |
In the post he
is ok, but at the next level, he may be called on to come outside more
frequently, and will need to develop more handling skills. Turns the
ball over too much. |
| Offense |
Has a strong
body he could use to post up with greater success. Needs to be stronger
at the free throw line, since he can play low and draw fouls. |
| Rebounding |
Once again, he
has the physical tools, but must learn to use them better. Would benefit
from some post player training to learn how to use his physical assets.
He is good on the offensive end for put-backs. |
| Defense |
Could be tougher
in the paint. Should work on better timing on altering shots. |
|
Game Knowledge |
His
understanding of the game is there, but work needs to be done on honing
his skills to match it. |
| Strengths |
He has a great
physical presence, something that can't be taught. |
| Opportunities
for Improvement |
Jonathan has a
great physical foundation and understands the game. He needs more time
playing with better competition and some training to really elevate his
potential. |
| Overall Comments |
Quiet kid with some good
upside, if he gets the right training and coaching. |
