Scouting Report from 2003 InfoSport Pro Basketball Combine

Physical & Mental:  In good physical condition. Has ok endurance. Athletic-leaper and good foot speed. Mentally and physically tough. Student of the game.

 

Ball Skills: Has decent handles. Can go right or left. Pushes the ball up the court. Can create her own shot off the dribble. Does not get picked!

 

Offense:  Beautiful shooting stroke. Always moving and looking for the ball. Very offensively minded player. A major three-point threat all around the arc. Can hit the turn-around jumper in the paint. Has a nice step back move. Solid scorer. Will post up down low. Strong penetrator. Pulls the offensive boards. Has good hands. Will step up in pressure situations. She is just plain dangerous.

 

Rebounding:  Very strong. A leaper who pulls down a lot of rebounds. Could get a little more physical inside.

 

Defense: Excellent shot blocker. Spring board. Rarely fouls on the block. Good footwork with on-ball pressure. Shows solid post defense. Very active. Had a lot of deflections.


Game Knowledge:  Is a student of the game. Strong fundamentals. Understands all of the jargon, offensive and defensive sets. Has the rare ability to help teammates play better.

 

Strengths:  Three-point shot and overall athleticism. Shot blocking. Is a leader on the floor. Her confidence to take and make the tough shot.

 

Opportunities for Improvement:  Could get a little stronger if she has to play post and work on some variety of post moves. Could work on her stamina, although she does recover quickly.

 

Overall Comments: A true team player. Helps her teammates. Clutch player who is a true athlete and very coachable. Ready for the pro game NOW.
