Pro Basketball Combines for Officials
These
premier events are part of InfoSport's Basketball Super Week. The
Officials' Combines will provide current and aspiring professional
basketball referees an opportunity to showcase their talents for college
conferences and leagues, as well as enable them to improve their skills,
regardless of what level at which they currently officiate.
Designed to take place around InfoSport's
Pro Basketball Combines for players, the Officials' Combines will
allow referees the opportunity to be evaluated on the court working
games with current and aspiring pro players, thereby working games that
will test their abilities at the highest level.
A professional officiating and evaluation
staff will work with the officials in classroom settings. The officials
will then have the opportunity to display their talents on the court
during the players' combine.
The evaluation staff will provide on
court assessment and review the videos with the officials providing
prompt feedback, allowing them to hone their skills.
For all men's basketball
referees, a report on every referee at the combine will be posted on the
InfoSport web site and sent to all conferences and officiating
associations designated by the participant. That same report will be
given to each of the participants to assist them in their pursuit of
moving their officiating career to the next level.
