John Murphy: MLS Assistant Coach
The InfoSport Combine is a first class opportunity
for talented players. It is the only annual event that I know of
that gives motivated individuals the best chance to be evaluated by
the preeminent assessors of talent in the US: current professional
coaches. The fact is, the quality of the staff is the best
indication of the legitimacy the combine holds within the coaching
community. I feel that as pro soccer grows, the InfoSport Combine
will develop even further in significance as a can't miss
recruiting opportunity for professional teams.

Art Kramer: MISL Assistant Coach, Milwaukee
Wave
I recommend the
InfoSport Combine for all players
who have aspirations of playing professional soccer for three
reasons. First, it provides the player an opportunity to
showcase their talents to virtually every team in Major League
Soccer, as the coaching staff is comprised of many of the
leagues assistant coaches. Secondly, the experience the player
receives by competing in a combine environment is invaluable.
Take Brent Whitfield for example, who attended the
InfoSport combine for several
years. Brent is a player that graduated from Cal-State
Fullerton, and following his first combine did not receive a
professional contract. He returned to the combine the following
year and signed a professional contract with the Seattle
Sounders, where he won a championship in the USL-First
Division. In 2006, he signed a contract with MLS and is now
playing for Chivas. Brent is just
one of many players that have attended
InfoSport's Pro Soccer Combine and gone on to sign a
professional contract. Finally, the weather in
Florida during the winter is much
better than where I currently reside here in Milwaukee!

John Trask: Former MLS Assistant Coach,
Current Head Coach, University of IL-Chicago
It is with great enthusiasm that I
recommend the InfoSport Combine to all players interested in being
evaluated by Major League Soccer (MLS). Julie Lanzillo and Daryl
Shore have done a tremendous job providing top collegiate and amateur
players the opportunity of being identified by MLS. The list of
coaches and clubs represented at the combine is always impressive. As
MLS coaches, the opportunity to evaluate a pool of potential draftees
and top players is an invaluable tool as we plan our roster for the
upcoming year. Once again I personally look forward to joining the
InfoSport staff in Florida in early January.
