INFORMATION:

Important Announcement to All InfoSport Combine Participants

As part of our efforts to assist players with increased exposure to teams, scouts and agents around the world, individual contact information for each combine participant is placed on their individual web profile pages on our site.  This is done so that legitimate, interested parties can contact players directly.  As a result of this feature, countless InfoSport combine participants have enjoyed the opportunity to play professional soccer or basketball around the world.

However, along with providing that direct contact information, comes the potential for solicitations from unscrupulous individuals that may misrepresent themselves.

If you are contacted by someone that offers you a contract, or wants to represent you as their agent, and are unsure as to their legitimacy, please contact InfoSport.  While we do not endorse any specific sports agents, we are frequently made aware of illegitimate schemes and may be able to help our clients avoid the pitfalls that may come from being associated with these sources.

If it sounds too good to be true, it might be. Please educate yourself. We are here to help.

Currently known internet agent scams:

  • Trends Sports Agent International (http://www.trendssportsagent.4t.com/)

  • Johnny Stead (offering over $200,000 for two year deal in UK).

  • Hackney White Heat in London - offer from an agent for $220,000 for two seasons

  • Bola Oni (danjansportconsultant_inc@yahoo.com) offer in Spain (Ricoh Manresa)

  • Terry Bowles ($240,000 offer in London)

  • Lynn Kamara (Nigeria)

  • Mr. Tunji (Hoopsconnection@yahoo.com)

  • Mr. Smith-Cole, Global Sports. phone: 2348076265855 email: global_sport01@yahoo.com

Dateline NBC recently aired a special on internet scams. While basketball agents were not profiled specifically, many of the same tactics are being used. Please check out their web site for some very helpful reading.
